KENNESAW, GA (November 29, 2018) –Attracting coastal retailers from Maine to North Carolina, the November 11-13, 2018 edition of Ocean City Resort Gift Expo showcased new nautical, souvenir and coastal resort resources from top brands as well as 50 new companies. Attending retailers voted on a series of show awards –naming Map Mom as the show’s Best New Product winner and Beaver Dam Woodworks as the company with the Best Booth presentation.

Map Mom’s best-selling Pallet Style maps (shown left) are printed with high-definition inks onto pine planks and are hand-cut and assembled. Each pallet map can be paired with its corresponding city sign designed with the city name, map of the area and coordinates. The art is printed with high definition inks onto 3/4 inch premium pine.
"As a first-time exhibitor, we found the busy Ocean City Resort Gift Expo to be magnet for many great coastal buyers. The results have exceeded our expectations,” said Kira Talerico, Map Mom, Mount Pleasant, SC.
Buyers also cast their vote for Best Booth, recognizing the exhibitor with the best display on the show floor and Honey Brook, Pennsylvania’s Beaver Dam Woodworks (shown right) was selected as the winner.
Exhibitors responded positively to the buyer profile they saw on the show floor, as well as business written.
"After 32 years in business, this was our first time exhibiting In Ocean City and it was our best opening show ever," added Wolf Guibbory, owner, Vera Wolf.
Retailers had the chance to explore the show’s selection of best-sellers and new up-and-coming designs in everything from resort, gifts, souvenirs, novelties, and nautical/coastal items, to licensed products, beachwear, general gift and much more.
“The Ocean City Gift Show is my favorite show. It’s easy to get to and has the right mix of exhibitors, including a well-rounded selection of gifts, souvenirs, and some surprise categories. It’s the perfect show for my business,” says Jody Crosswhite, Forbes Candies.
Reinforcing the show's reputation as a cost-effective, convenient resource for its regional audience, retailers enjoyed a number of money-saving features, including low off-season hotel rates, a “Show Your Badge” program offering discounts on dining and other local amenities and the popular "New Jersey Retailer Program” awarding a complimentary ferry ride and hotel rebate to traveling buyers from that state.
